We popped in for a quick lunch at Taza 21 after some power-writing at the 61C one afternoon. Taza 21 is another Middle Eastern place (yes, there are a lot of those here in Squirrel Hill), but it serves mostly sandwiches and wraps and smoothies (which we did not try).
Here is the front of the shop. They have a small seating area, but also do food to go.
We split the chicken shawarma pizza sandwich (from their website: thin bread topped with pizza sauce, shawarma strips, shredded cheese, black olives and mushrooms. Toasted, melted, wrapped.). It was pretty good! I think all this sampling is making me come around on Middle Eastern food. They also sell hummus and babaganoush to-go, so we may have to check those out someday!
