Well, we did this Achievement waaaaaay back in June, but my backlog of Everything Else in Life kind of got in the way, so I’m only bringing it to you now.
On the way home from our trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake (there are still winery entries to come about that…), we stopped at Niagara Falls for Michael’s first opportunity to see them. Last year, when he and I went to NOTL by ourselves, it was raining on the drive home, so we had to skip it. This year, the weather cooperated!
I wore my Hello Bully shirt to show support for our awesome Pittsburgh organization. Pits are the victims of BSL in Ontario, so it was interesting to get comments from people who were on our side of the fight and against those laws.
Here are the falls. I know we’re seeing three waterfalls this year, but I have a feeling this is going to be the most majestic of them all. See that little boat? That’s the Maid of the Mist. You won’t catch me on that thing!
This is the view in the opposite direction, looking back toward downtown Niagara where the casinos and touristy sites are.
Here is Michael, looking quite lovely at the falls.
I was amazed at how fast the water moved.
Here’s a little video I took of the water. Can you believe people tried to go over this waterfall in barrels??? Truly crazy!
My only complaint about the falls is the mist. It cuts off the visibility quite a bit, but the falls are still gorgeous!
Here I am with my mum. Please note: it is impossible to have nice looking hair at Niagara Falls.
And here is Michael, feeling the fury. I will have you know, people thought that we were so clever taking this picture, that they tried to replicate it after us. We’re Canadian celebrities! 🙂
